Waterman has recently manufactured gates for the massive Morganza-to-Gulf flood control project in Louisiana.
This massive project spans over 98 miles of levees. In the most recent phase, Waterman’s agent QSM provided the contractor, The Lemoine Company, with fourteen 72” x 72” heavy duty, cast iron sluice gates, and fourteen 72” x 72” heavy duty, cast iron Waterman flap gates — along with other drainage items such as pipe and fabric.
QSM’s TJ Truxillo worked with engineers and contractors to assure accurate design specifications, and to see all of the Waterman gates were delivered on time.
“In working with QSM, everything went well,” said Michael Ferguson, project manager at Lemoine. “These Waterman gates are great. Installation went smooth, and we’ve turned it over to the owner as of late July.”
He added “my team and I had the pleasure of working with TJ Truxillo at QSM. He proved to be helpful from the start.”
“Waterman has been involved in dozens of critical infrastructure projects in the Gulf region over the last 3 years,” said Stephen Debner, Regional Sales Manager at Waterman. “We appreciated the opportunity to partner with these leaders in this successful installation.”
