Type 2 Handwheel Gate Operators

The Waterman Type 2 Handwheel lifts are designed for long life, and ease of operation. Type 2 lifts have precision ball bearings both above and below the lift nut flange to reduce friction during operation. Type 2N lifts have superior tapered roller bearings and mechanical seals to provide optimum operating characteristics.

Type 2 Handwheel Operators have a cast bronze lift nut machined to accurately mate with the operating stem.  Each unit is fitted with a handwheel marked with direction of opening. Handwheels are of such diameter that handwheel pull need not exceed 40 lb. on the rim.  Handwheels are removable and are manufactured of  cast iron or fabricated steel, with optional aluminum available.  Protective stem covers may be mounted when required by the specifications.
