Museum Showcases Benefits of Self-Regulating Tide Gates in Coastal Zones

The advantages and performance of Waterman’s SRT series self-regulating tide gates are on display at the Fairfield Museum’s exhibit “Rising Tides”.

The exhibit details important strategies used in preservation of coastal areas in the face of rising sea levels and changing weather patterns.  Waterman SRT gates are widely used in tidal wetlands preservation and restoration.  The gates restore tidal flushing of marshes without flooding of upland property behind dikes and levees.

A working model of the gate can be viewed at the exhibit through February 27, 2017.  More information on the exhibit can be found here.
